Do you want to know the steps that are required to make pottery? Just hover over the circles.
Don't let your clay get too dry when working with it.
Make sure to center your clay then start forming your lump. You will need to make a dimple in the middle then work your way out slowley.
After you have worked your piece, you will let it dry in a damp room for a few days. You will know its ready because the clay will still be damp but will lose some of its flexibility. This is the stage to add any carvings or handles that you want.
Greenware is the stage that the pottery is completely removed of moisture. This is the final stage before throwing it in the kiln.
The kiln stage is where you harden the pottery. You start with a lower heat then bring up the temperature. This removes any moisture left over and the slow increase in heat prevents the pottery from exploding.
Glazing is the step that make your pottery look nice. Glaze is a combination of sand and coloring. Once the pottery has been painted by the glaze it will be placed back in the kiln to harden the glaze.
With any luck you will have a nice piece in the end.
